Abstract

In this paper, we argue for a more analytical look at Open Science. Since openness is the goal of Open Science, this term can be used to identify an emerging moral economy within science. We assess the changing context, as well as the dynamics inherent in science, to better understand the emergence of openness, and develop a set of models to analyze different case studies on Open Science.
