Abstract
abstract: after the introductory sections, where nonparametric regression methods and basics of design theory are overviewed, this paper describes the so-called moving local regression, a special nonparametric statistical tool. its incorporation into the design framework is given, including the derivation of the necessary formulae. an example from practice is given, illuminating the interrelations of the basic ingredients of the method.;
